How does FUT work?

During your follicular unit transplantation, your doctor will remove a strip of hair from a safe area, usually the back of your head, where genetic hair loss is unlikely to occur. The size of the section will depend on how many hair follicles are required for the transplant. It's important to note that once healed, the scar left in this area will be concealed by your hair.

The donor hair will then be prepared by our facility to ensure the best possible outcome. The donor strip will be broken down into smaller sections and prepared for transplant. Your doctor will then transplant the follicles onto the balding area.

After the procedure is finished, we'll provide you with aftercare instructions and schedule any post-op appointments necessary. Any swelling and soreness will typically heal in about a week, and you may begin to see results in as little as three to six months.
